Mary Ann Hedderson was born and raised in NYC. She got involved in the theater in high school with two theater companies- Irondale Ensemble and Starfish Theaterworks. There she learned the fundamentals of acting, writing, re-writing, directing and production. She continued her passion for theater at the New School University where she received in B.A. in Theater and Education. During college and well after Mary Ann continued her work in theater education with Find Your Voice Inc. The FYV method was a marriage of meaning-making and art-making, using playwriting and acting tools to enhance emotional intelligence and communication skills meant to help people of all ages and backgrounds articulate and revise their stories, and develop the flexibility to change their lives. After Find Your Voice Inc closed its doors after 25 years, Mary Ann joined the PLUS Media team where she started as a Media Coordinator and quickly moved on to Production Director. She has worked with hundreds of brands such as Minute Rice, Wonderful Brands, Tide, Goody, Target, Bud Light, Verlasso, Seafood Watch and many, many more.
Mary Ann was also the co-fonder of the Production Company F-N Do It! There she wrote, directed and performed many off-off Broadway shows including the self penned Vampure! and her one woman show Go Ahead…Laugh which had runs at La Mama ETC, Gotham Comedy Club and The Irondale Center.
