Shannon FlynnDirector, Client Relations

A member of the PLUS team since 2001, Shannon brings a unique blend of marketing savvy, zeitgeist-y instincts, and production experience to keep your client’s goals, media expectations, and audience trends in alignment. With hundreds of live SMTs, in-city and radio tours, VNRs, and special projects under her belt, she can tailor fresh content to suit your client’s unique selling proposition. If your project needs non-competitive, like-minded partners to help defray the cost, Shannon will find them. She’s also discovered, recruited, and media trained dozens of on-air personalities (many still morning show fixtures to this day).

Beyond PLUS, Shannon has lead an internal rebranding campaign for the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment and launched of a first-of-its-kind online NYS Mandated Reporter training product under contract with New York State Office of Children and Family Services. As a freelance marketing writer and consultant, she has created and reimagined branded content for IBM, St. Ives, Nexxus, CVS, and Elastine; worked on new product launches for Privacy Pop and Brow Artists International; supported publicity campaigns for Marquee Concerts; optimized web portals for Penske Automotive and Waste Connections; and worked on various internal and consumer-facing communications projects for The American Chemistry Council and The American Plastics Council.

A graduate of Syracuse University with an M.S. and B.S. from the Newhouse School of Public Communications, Shannon is an Adjunct Professor of graduate-level Marketing courses at Southern New Hampshire University. In her spare time, Shannon fosters rescue dogs, is a devoted pet parent of two “foster failures” (Lemmy and Chunk), and works as a cat care volunteer at her local animal shelter.
